The Sky is Falling

Stock markets and banks are collapsing in the United States. Canada is deeply affected and hurting too. Paul Newman has died. Is it the end of the world?
The answer is no. Paul Newman was 83 years old and had lung cancer from years of smoking. The United States has seen deregulation, big tax cuts and huge government spending on wars. With President Bush in charge and a lame Congress what did you expect. Plans for a bail out which could prevent a depression have been thwarted so far by small minded members of the United States congress. It is time to smarten up and deal with real problems.
Here in Canada we are in an election campaign where the only issues seem to be the egos of the Party leaders. Serious action is needed here before Canada falls into the disaster towards which we are drifting with a lack of real leadership when it comes to policy issues. Please demand action and vote in the October 14 election based on ideas and not just images.
The sun will rise if we do nothing but we will all be poorer and less fulfilled if we do not address the real problems that Canada and the world are facing.
